COHREP's 1st International Convention to be held in Bali Indonesia

The Council of Hotel and Restaurant Educators of the Philippines (COHREP) will hold its 1st International Convention after 30 years of existence. The convention will be held in one of Southeast Asia's premier destinations, the peaceful and cultural enclave of Bali. This was COHREP's fiirst ever foray into the new normal.  The council came up with the very first of its webinar series addressing some of the most pressing issues brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

COHREP Webinar Series: Students' Perspectives, Challenges in the Tourism and Hospitality Education after the Pandemic

COHREP launched the Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE) Young Leaders.  A special organization of COHREP specifically for students pursuing a degree in the Hospitality and Tourism. This was the first ever webinar series that target the younger audience and it was huge success. 


COHREP Webinar Series 2: Students' Perspectives, Challenges in the Tourism and Hospitality Education after the Pandemic

The YOUNG LEADERS webinar was a huge success a week before.  Hence this 2nd installment, in order to address the pressing issues on Mental Health among many students.  Ms. International 2016 Kylie Verzosa and her sister Chelsea gave a very plausible talk on why mental health matters much to the delight of over 500 participants from all over the country. Ms. Feylie, a very articulate student from Malaysia gave her perspective on how to cope up with the challenges of the pandemic as a student studying abroad. 


COHREP GMM: Modes of Flexible Learning in Higher Education

The Pandemic of 2020 brought not only for the economy to be still but also teachers and professors like the members of the COHREP to remain at home. The first GMM for the year 2020 was attended by over 150 members from all over the country, and in the new normal fashion, all from the comforts of home. 


30 Minute Talks : Top 10 Online Facilitator Skills for Effective Course Delivery

COHREP and 30 Minute Talks partnered in one of their very exciting information-laden talks.  Not necesarily 30 minutes short. Co-hosted by COHREP Iloilo, Panay Island, Negros Island and Siquijor and Cebu Chapters made this event loudly possible. 


COHREP Cordillera Chapter Webinar: TRAVEL BUBBLES - Baguio Tourism in the New Normal

Despite the pandemic, COHREP's Regional Chapter, the Cordiller was able to Organize and Host a Special Webinar that tackles the current tourism situation in one of the country's top destinations, Baguio City. The officers of the Cordillera Chapter invited the Department of Tourism and the City Tourism Officer to discuss what could possibly one of the newest trends in the new normal. 


2nd COHREP GMM: Virtual Education in Hospitality and Tourism

COHREP proved once again that no pandemic can hinder our desire to learn and meet with members.  A Webinar that discussed strategies in teaching using the latest tools, materials and technology at the comforts of home was an exciting topic for all our members.  It was a standing room only GMM, virtually of course. 


2nd COHREP GMM: Virtual Education in Hospitality and Tourism

COHREP proved once again that no pandemic can hinder our desire to learn and meet with members.  A Webinar that discussed strategies in teaching using the latest tools, materials and technology at the comforts of home was an exciting topic for all our members.  It was a standing room only GMM, virtually of course.

What could better cap the year away but to have a former Miss Universe and a Happiness Guru talk about Culture, Arts and the right attitude during this trying times? Well, only COHREP could make that happen. Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays Everybody! Until Next Year!
